Tutoring at Laurel
At Laurel, we prioritize your academic success and we want to offer all the help we can. In a specialized environment like Laurel, tutoring isn’t just about “getting extra help”, it can be an impact strategy that evolves into effective approach.
If you feel you could benefit from extra guidance, taking the first step is simple:
- Ask your instructor about academic support to help guide you through challenges in the classroom
- Speak with your Program Director to discuss specific areas where you’d like to improve.
- Reach out to your campus Director of Education to be matched with the right support resources for your schedule.
Fresh Start Initiative
This program also features the “Fresh Start” initiative designed to support students making a significant change in their lives. Laurel knows that people often need to change directions due to challenging life circumstances and need broader supports and considerations when making this life-changing decision. Laurel offers extended admission procedures to these individuals including days to sit in and observe classes, Career Services advising, meetings with program and campus directors, and one-on-one consultations with the Financial Aid team to learn about their options. The Fresh Start Program is here to support those individuals who need a helping hand in the next chapter of their lives.
Transfer Students
What is a Credit Transfer? Credit transfers are completed credits at another college, university or higher education institution after high school graduation. We know there are a number of reasons students would need to consider transferring credits. Whether you are still enrolled and looking for a change or if you tried higher education some time ago and had to take and break because you needed to focus on different areas of your life, we’re here to help.
Laurel Assist is built to help the transition be easy and understandable. Laurel is happy to work with students who are transferring from other two- and four-year institutions, and we want to make this smooth transition for you! If you are looking to transfer from another accredited college, university or trade school, go to our Credit Transfers page to find out what our Admission Department will need in order to help you get the process started!
